Level Up! UMMC Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Rehabilitation Workshop 2023 is organized by University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) and will be held from Aug 26 - 27, 2023 at University Malaya Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Introduction:
Spinal cord injury (SCI) rehabilitation is an integral part of the rehabilitation medicine services throughout Malaysia. Although not all hospitals have dedicated SCI rehabilitation units, all general rehabilitation services serve the SCI population, including those led by allied healthcare professionals nationwide. Therefore, there is a need for all healthcare workers to improve their skills in providing quality rehabilitation services for individuals with SCI.

Workshop Objectives:
This workshop aims to help participants “level up” their SCI rehabilitation skills and knowledge so they can bring their services to a higher standard and better serve SCI patients. Topics covered include advanced wheelchair skills, updates in neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction management, pressure injury management, the latest advancements in locomotor training, and many others as outlined in the scientific program. Speakers include local and international experts in the field of SCI rehabilitation and beyond.
