Introduction to Injectables (Module one) - Oct 27 - 28, 2023

Introduction to Injectables (Module one) is organized by Institute of Medical Aesthetics (IMA) and will be held from Oct 27 - 28, 2023 at Institute of Medical Aesthetics, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Description:
Basic Neurotoxin:
• To understand the structure, mechanism of action, reconstitution and storage of the neurotoxins
• To understand the differences between neuromodulators available in their country
• To understand the anatomy and function of the upper facial muscles (Glabella region, Forehead and crow's feet)
• To diagnose the complications of neurotoxins and how to manage them
• To be familiar with average dosage, and safe injection techniques of neuromodulators in the upper face region
• To practice on at least 10 patients for upper face neurotoxins and submit to the international centre (This can be done partially during the course and later completed independently before starting Step 2)

Basic HA Fillers:
• To understand the structure and mechanism of action of HA fillers
• To understand the basic rheology of HA fillers
• To understand 5 anatomical layers of the face, aging process of the face, the anatomy of the superficial and deep fat compartments
• To understand the most important arteries in the face and their origin
• To understand the basic anatomy of the lips
• To understand safe injection techniques in the midface, cheeks and lips
• To understand the complications of filler specially vascular, allergic reaction, and nodule formation and also know how to manage them properly
• To practice on at least 10 patients for midface or lip filler injections and submit them to the international centre (This can be done partially during the course and later completed before starting Step 2)
