Healthcare Simulation Essentials: Design and Debriefing is organized by Center for Medical Simulation (CMS) and will be held from May 01 - 05, 2023 at Center for Medical Simulation (CMS), Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America.
Description:
Amidst these rapidly changing times, the Center for Medical Simulation (CMS) is at the forefront of innovation to remain competitive. This course, which is the most popular in educator training, has been updated to help participants have a positive and measurable impact on their organizations. Participants will be able to apply simulation to their learning and positively impact their colleagues and the organization.
We will require you to research before you arrive to maximize your investment and ensure your work has the most significant impact. We will help you identify real problems that simulation can solve. This will allow us to get buy-in for your program. Patient safety, curriculum challenges. We will integrate your questions and concerns about this organizational problem through small-group interactive work.
The course will offer the Center for Medical Simulation an exceptional educational experience. The system will have several CMS faculty working in small groups with learners to create a curriculum for their simulation program. They will also learn Debriefing with good judgment(c) and how to design simulation courses.
Course Objectives:
• Develop a strategic plan to get buy-in and support simulation.
• Create simulations and curricular designs, and assess strategies to improve clinical readiness and competence
• Build a safe and challenging learning environment
• Develop and debrief interprofessional simulations with high learner engagement
• Apply the "With Good Judgment" approach to influence behavior change in multiple contexts
