The Center for Medical Simulation is constantly innovating to keep up with the rapid changes of our times. This flagship educator's course has been updated to help participants significantly and sustainably impact the organization. Participants will learn how to use simulations to gain benefits for themselves, their colleagues, and the organization.
We will request that you do some preparation work before your arrival to maximize your investment and make your work the most impactful. We will work with you to identify a real problem that can be solved through simulation. Patient safety concerns and curriculum challenges. Then, we will integrate your questions and concerns about the best way to solve this organizational challenge through interactive small-group work. The Center for Medical Simulation offers an exceptional educational experience. The CMS faculty will be present in each course to work with small groups of learners to create a curriculum that will guide their simulation program. They will also learn Debrief with Good Judgment © and design simulation courses.
Course Objectives:
• Develop a strategy to get buy-in and use simulations to support your plan and have an impact
• Design simulations and curriculums and develop assessment strategies to assess clinical readiness and competency
• Create a safe and challenging learning environment
• Engage learners in interprofessional simulations by conducting and debriefing them with high engagement
• Apply the "With Good Judgment Approach" to change behavior in different contexts
• Enhance your role as a change agent or educator.
