The 18th World Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) will focus on the necessity and objective of ensuring equity of fair access, opportunity, and advancement in palliative care for all individuals who need this type of care. This will be done under "Equity and Diversity in Palliative Care." Sometimes, "outside the majority" or "different from the dominant group" is referred to as "diversity" as a euphemism. Nevertheless, one thing that unites us all as humans is that we are diverse. We are all different in our unique ways, and the research demonstrates that there is no "one size fits all" approach when considering and discussing palliative care. Therefore, fostering equality and considering the diversity of people is not only the theme of the 18th World Congress of the EAPC, but it should also be at the center of palliative care practice.
