Description:
Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS) is an intensive training course on the correct actions and techniques of the immediate support of the critical neurological patient in the first hours. It presents a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach and provides a coherent set of protocols, benchmarks and decision-making as well as interdisciplinary communication modalities for the proper management of the following 14 neurological/neurosurgical emergencies:
• Acute non-traumatic weakness
• Pharmacotherapy
• Acute Ischemic Stroke
• Resuscitation after cardiac arrest
• Airway Securing, Ventilation and Suppression
• Spinal cord compression
• Approach to the comatose patient
• Status Epilepticus
• Intracerebral Hemorrhage
• Subarachnoid hemorrhage
• Intracranial hypertension and Intussusception
• Traumatic Brain Injury
• Meningitis and Encephalitis
• Traumatic spinal cord injury
