 just before the SIS 2023 Annual Meeting begins, you can be one of the first physicians to experience SIS’s newest hands-on course.

Physicians practicing interventional pain medicine require the ability to remediate and mitigate risks during emergency situations. Since these exceptional events fortunately are rare, they can be difficult to recognize immediately and, even when acknowledged, enacting the appropriate emergency protocol in the heat of the moment can challenge even the most experienced interventionalist. This new SIS hands-on course provides a host of controlled, simulated emergency scenarios where you can push yourself to more rapidly recognize complications and implement the appropriate emergency response protocol. Your performance will be analyzed via a detailed debrief to emphasize key management strategies.
