Description:
This course teaches a minimally invasive surgical approach utilizing the vestibular incision subperiosteal tunnel access (VISTA) and a novel suturing technique called the subperiosteal sling (SPS) suture to stabilize the connective tissue graft (CTG) in root coverage and phenotype modification.

Pig Jaw Hands-on Workshop:
• Subperiosteal tunnel preparation
• CTG procurement
• CTG stabilization by SPS suture

Learning Objectives:
• Know why soft tissue augmentation is indicated
• Know why CTG may be used in lieu of free gingival graft
• Know the different techniques to procure CTG
• Utilize SPS sutures to stabilize CTG in root coverage and phenotype modification of single-tooth and multiple-teeth
• Manage potential complications.
