Primary Care CME at Walt Disney World is organized by A-Cross Medicine Reviews, Tulane University Center for Continuing Education (CCE) and will be held from Jun 19 - 22, 2023 at Disney's BoardWalk Resort, Orlando, Florida, United States of America.

Overview:
This program is intended to develop attendees' knowledge and skill in various primary care themes, and it will do so in various areas. These include hypertension, cancer screening, gastrointestinal issues, ear, nose, and throat problems, and the most recent immunization recommendations. Each issue that is covered will make use of evidence-based guidelines derived from the existing body of research.
 

Course Objectives for October 2023 Course in Disney World: 
• Review the latest hypertension guidelines
• Critique and implement the current STIs/STDs Guidelines
• Manage common dermatologic disorders
• Manage patients with skin and soft tissues infections
• Review the latest evidence-based guidelines on cancer screening, including new conflicting recommendations for prostate and lung cancer
Discuss the latest treatment and diagnosis for COPD
• Discuss the treatment and management of GERD, Celiac Disease and GERD.
• Review the latest management of depression
• Manage otitis, pharyngitis and sinusitis using evidence-based guidelines
• Understand the changes made in adult immunization, especially PCV13, Shingles and COVID-19 vaccines.
• Critique and implement the current pain management guidelines

Statement of Need:
Primary care challenges are constantly being revised by specialties and government agencies such as the CDC. It can be challenging for a primary care physician to keep up with the most recent developments in medical practice, such as new guidelines and suggestions. It is necessary to develop efficient solutions for the common problems in primary care for medical practitioners and other medical personnel.

Goal:
The conference's main objective is to influence the diagnostic and treatment decisions made by primary care practices about their patients and improve patient outcomes.
