Training Certificate Classes
• Each class is $150 (in addition to the conference fee)
• Classes will be held on the first day of the conference, Friday, October 27th
• AM classes begin at 8am / PM classes begin at 1pm
• There are a limited number of spots, varying on the class
• Spots are first-come, first-pay. Those who pay first will be guaranteed their spots, until that class is filled
• If a class is full, you can request to be put on a waitlist in the event of a spot opening up
• For classes on a waitlist, we will send out email notifications to ensure all spots are paid for
• Attendees can sign up for two 4-hour training certification classes or one 8-hour course

Active Attack for Telecommunicators/Dispatchers
The Active Shooter for Dispatchers course is a primer for all telecommunications personnel that prepares them for the unpredictable nature of hostile incident response.  Some of the topics covered include: 
• A basic history of active violence 
• A brief look at dispatchers involved in active attack response protocols 
• The psychology of fear as it relates to training and call taking
• How to screen callers during an incident 
• Preparing your call center for violent incidents 
• The “Vegas Effect” and how it can affect your dispatch protocols 
• The aftermath of these incidents and how to prepare your personnel for recovery  

This extended version of the course includes scenario training that allows dispatchers the opportunity to experience what their first responders go through on a scene.  All safety equipment will be provided by the instructors.  Additionally, a computer simulation aid has been added to the course to clarify the roles involved in response, communication, command structure, and rescue task force.

Blue NIMS
This course introduces students to a practical level knowledge and execution of the fundamentals of the Incident Command System as outlined in the National Response Framework (NRF) and National Incident Management System (NIMS). This class provides students with ground truth understanding of ICS and how it can be applied during normal operations, as well as, complex incidents. Additional hands-on experience through a simulated exercise will enhance individual learning and retention.

Contact Front - Active Attack Leadership Matters
This class will honor the 21 souls lost at Robb Elementary by focusing on the specific goals and objectives of first responders during the first 30 mins of crisis response.
This session focuses on the key elements needed to successfully lead your agency so that you are prepared for and respond effectively to an active attack.

• A walk through of the first 30 minutes of a response

Civilian Response and Casualty Care (CRCC)
The Civilian Response and Casualty Care (CRCC) course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004, provides strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. This course combines the civilian response with the Stop the Bleed Campaign, which empowers civilians to provide life-saving medical aid before first responders ever arrive. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues, and considerations for conducting drills.

• Students will attend the AM CRASE, then go to the PM CRCC portion. 
• You only need to register for the CRCC course itself. This is an 8 hour course that automatically includes the morning CRASE. This course is limited to 40 students.

CRASE
This course is designed to provide first responders and other professionals with a model response program they can deliver to civilians within their communities.  Referred to as Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events Train-the-Trainer (CRASE).

Fire As A Weapon (FAAW)
This course explores how quick action, decisive leadership, and good training will allow responders to get ahead of a bad call and mitigate any disaster.Developed to train law enforcement and firefighting personnel how to operate when a fire is either intentionally or unintentionally introduced during law enforcement operations.  The use of fire as a weapon adds to the complexity and lethality of any hostile incident. Fire growth and fire spread times do not allow for a long decision-making process, requiring law enforcement to have contingency plans in place before the first sign of smoke or fire.

Low-Light Seminar
This course will provide an overview of approaches, actions at the breach point, entries, and suspect control under different lighting conditions and considering different lighting tools (handheld vs weapon-mounted).
