75th Annual Bleeding Disorders Conference (BDC) is organized by National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) and will be held from Aug 17 - 19, 2023 at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, National Harbor, Maryland, United States of America.
Description:
NHF promotes an integrated, comprehensive care model that supports individuals living with coagulation disorders. As part of our commitment to the comprehensive care model, NHF hosts an annual Bleeding Disorder Conference that offers over 2 days of education in four distinct healthcare provider tracks. Each track has been planned/developed by peer representatives of each provider group and tailored to meet the specific educational needs for delivering quality medical care to individuals with coagulation disorders.
Educational Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:
• Describe findings from the latest research studies addressing the care of patients with bleeding disorders and how these findings translate into direct patient care
• Identify common and pathological symptoms experienced by patients with bleeding disorders, what roles are assumed by healthcare providers and patients/caregivers, and what treatments are applied in the care of the identified symptoms
• Utilize evidence-based treatments and patient education regarding both acute and long-term management of bleeding disorders
