3 Day Lal Training is organized by Charles River Laboratories and will be held from Nov 28 - 30, 2023 at Charles River Endotoxin Microbial Detection Europe, Ecully, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France.
Description:
This interactive training provided by LAL test experts focuses on good practices in bacterial endotoxin testing, causes of interference, validation methods, DMS calculations, applicable regulations (to name a few key points…)
These training sessions alternating theoretical parts and practical work in the laboratory will give tools to quality control professionals in microbiology to improve their manufacturing processes and confidently apprehend their future inspections.
As part of the controls of injectable drugs, medical and surgical equipment and dialysis samples, the regulations in force require a certain number of controls, including that of bacterial endotoxins. The LAL test (Lysate of Amebocytes of Horseshoe Crab), although easy to use, requires a lot of rigor. Please consult the detailed agenda which alternates theoretical presentations (history of the LAL test, interferences, Pharmacopoeias to name but a few) and practical work in a dedicated laboratory.
Why participate:
• Acquire and consolidate your knowledge of bacterial endotoxin testing
• Be up to date in terms of regulations
• Discover LAL rapid micro-methods
educational goals:
• Theory
Acquire theoretical knowledge about the LAL test to understand and interpret the results
• Analysis of simple or complex results
Read and interpret analysis results, detect the presence of possible interferences and if necessary resolve these interferences to return a valid result
• Regulations
Acquire the essential points of the regulatory texts to apply them in carrying out the test.
• Convenient
Properly handle reagents, accessories and equipment to render a reliable LAL result
