29th Annual Congress of German Interdisciplinary Society for Non-Clinical Ventilation (DIGAB) eV and 16th Ventilation Symposium of DGP eV is organized by Intercongress GmbH, German Interdisciplinary Society for Non-Hospital Ventilation eV / Deutsche Interdisziplinare Gesellschaft fur auserklinische Beatmung e.V. (DIGAB)  and will be held from Sep 07 - 09, 2023 at CCH - Congress Center Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany.

The Hanseatic cosmopolitanism should provide the stage for an exciting, lively, controversial and inspiring meeting of all those who are dependent on long-term ventilation and all those professional groups who work with these people.
The increasing economization of medicine does not stop at out-of-hospital ventilation. In addition to many other challenges, the shortage of skilled workers in the field of nursing, but increasingly also in medical care, is a central problem.
Appropriate answers must be found to the pressing questions in the area of ??supply structures. It is important to develop new and innovative approaches. The annual conference in Hamburg wants to be a platform to provide food for thought and encourage people to develop new concepts. This requires exchange, talks and controversial discussions. New perspectives cannot be developed through competition and confrontation, but through joint approaches and constructive ideas. In this sense, the congress in Hamburg is intended to be a large workshop in which people wrestle, work and create creatively.

As representatives of two sub-groups of the DIGAB (the children and the people with spinal cord injury) we want to focus on content in these areas. Of course, all other areas such as pneumology, intensive care medicine, neurology, rehabilitation and much more will find their place. And as is a good tradition at DIGAB, we want to once again focus on the interdisciplinarity between people who are dependent on ventilation and those treating them from care, therapy and medicine in Hamburg.
