26th Annual Symposium American Society of Spine Radiology (ASSR) 2023 is organized by American Society of Spine Radiology (ASSR), Trifecta Events Group, and will be held from Feb 08 - 12, 2023 at The Charleston Place, Charleston, South Carolina, United States of America.
Description:
The meeting will again begin with our very popular and always sold-out Hands-on workshop on February 8th, 2023. Experts worldwide in the field of spine intervention will conduct this all-day training that includes instructive lectures and hands-on, image-guided training on specially-designed simulation models that simulate real-world situations. This extensive course was created to bring the principles into practical application and aid in developing a skillset to perform spine interventions. This technical, how-to course will cover spine biopsies, spine injections (nerve root blocks/epidurals/facet), nerve ablation, vertebral augmentation, spine implants and hardware placement, spine tumour ablation, and intra-discal ozone treatments.
We are extremely honoured to kick off the general session with Keynote presenter Kim Tzoumakas, Chief Executive Officer of RAYUS Radiology (formerly named Centers for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI)). She will speak about the current trends and future direction of diagnostic radiology. She'll be participating in the panel discussion that will be featuring Dr. Lubdha Shah's Women in Spine on Wednesday evening. The rest of the session will include talks on popular topics such as ozone treatment for spine pain, the molecular causes of back pain, and quantitative imaging of the spine using DTI.
Other highlights of the meeting include programming for young professionals, which includes a complete joint session conceived with the help of our YPS representatives, as well as Boot Training with the basic spine imaging techniques and anatomy. There will be multi-disciplinary discussions regarding the treatment of metastatic spine diseases, including using a tumour board and further sessions on advanced imaging for oncology. Both IR and General sessions will discuss CSF leaks and discuss advanced imaging techniques, diagnosis and treatment of patients, as well as interventional treatment options. More advanced topics, such as nerve imaging, peripheral nerve stimulation, spinal cord stimulators and basivertebral nerve ablation, are discussed and will present the latest areas of practice development among the participants. What would the conference have been without the fourth 4th Annual ASSR Fun Run on early Friday morning?
The meeting is founded on a history of superior research and education for physicians who are trainees or practising throughout their careers, both in private and academic environments. The many comradeships and genuine relationships that emerge from this community are why I was drawn to ASSR. More than 10 years later, it makes me happy that this community is flourishing and growing. We look to seeing your faces in Charleston, SC, at ASSR 2023.
