Description:
The course will break down the fundamental pieces involved in the assessment of the pediatric dental patient for sedation. Topics will include an in-depth review of key physiologic aspects related to safe patient selection related to nitrous oxide and minimal to moderate sedation. Various sedation medications, combinations, and their interaction with commonly prescribed medications in the pediatric population will be reviewed. The course will also offer an in-depth review of sedation monitors, discharge criteria and emergency scenarios, and office preparedness.
