2023 Point of Care Ultrasound Workshop is organized by North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (NCAPA) and will be held on Mar 25, 2023 at E Harvey Estes Conference Center, Durham, North Carolina, United States of America.

Description:
The primary purpose of this workshop is to provide an overview of the general physics, knobology, and to develop a systematic approach to utilize point of care ultrasound (POCUS) into the modern medical practice, based on AAFP and ACEP recommendations for ultrasound instruction. This educational curriculum will provide an introduction to the current understanding of point-of-care ultrasound techniques via an interactive multimedia format using still and dynamic ultrasound imagery, audio narration, computer graphic imagery, animation, and live standardized patients.

Objectives:
• The learner will recognize the indications and contraindications for provider focused POCUS in the most common clinical practice settings.
• At the end of this activity, the learner will able to acquire basic but adequate images that is relevant to advanced practice provider (APP), scope of practice.
• The clinician will be able to integrate POCUS exam findings into individual patient care plans and management, within their respective scope of practice.
