2023 Immunization Summit is organized by University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine and will be held on Aug 04, 2023 at Wyndham Riverfront Little Rock, Little Rock, Arkansas, United States of America.

Description:
The 2023 Immunization Summit is an educational event targeting immunization leaders and healthcare providers from around the state and region who have an interest in addressing and improving immunization rates. The target audience is primary and back-up vaccine coordinators, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other clinical staff who play a significant role in the immunization activities at their practice.

Learning  Objectives:
• Identify vaccine misinformation/disinformation and confront it with evidence based messaging to build trust in vaccines.
• Communicate the importance of getting vaccines for respiratory viruses and reframing respiratory virus season.
• Identify common vaccine errors and recognize ways to prevent shoulder injuries related to vaccine administration
• Advocate for Tdap vaccination to prevent bad outcomes from pertussis
• Recognize the childhood and adult immunization schedules
