American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law (AAPL) Forensic Psychiatry Review Course 2023

American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law (AAPL) Forensic Psychiatry Review Course is organized by American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law (AAPL) and will be held from Oct 16 - 18, 2023 at Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America.

Course Objective:
This intensive three-day course in forensic psychiatry will provide an in-depth review of selected topics and relevant landmark cases. Basic concepts will be reviewed along with the latest case law.

At the conclusion of the course, participants will: 
• have a good understanding of the major topics in forensic psychiatry; 
• understand the landmark mental health law cases; 
• be able to write more effective forensic reports; 
• be able to assess competency and sanity in defendants; and (5) be able to detect malingered mental illness.
