2023 Canadian Surgery Forum (CSF)

The 2023 Canadian Surgery Forum (CSF) organized by the Canadian Association of General Surgeons (CAGS) will be held from Sep 20 - 23, 2023 at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Conference Overview:
Although CAGS has held an annual meeting since 1977, it was not until 2001, in Quebec City, that the Canadian Surgery Forum (CSF) was born. Today, the major participating surgical societies; CAGS, CSCRS, CATS, CSSO, CHPBA, and CHS, and minor participating societies; TAC and CON/CABPS work together to organize the largest surgical meeting in Canada. The Canadian Surgery Forum has become the premier surgical conference in Canada for general surgeons to gather, share their experiences, and plan new ways to better the needs of their surgical societies.

Conference Goal:
To foster communication among surgical subspecialties and to advance continuing professional development, clinical practice, education, research, and public advocacy while providing members of the Canadian surgical community an opportunity to meet and network in a collegial fashion

Conference Objectives:

• Learn: Scientific and educational sessions are offered through interactive symposia, panel discussions, postgraduate courses, debates, plenary sessions, video sessions, and Meet the Fellowship Director
• Grow: The Forum will bring together participating surgical societies, providing accredited continuing professional development, and the opportunity for dialogue on educational and research issues
• Network: Meet other Canadian surgeons and residents and unwind with fun social events such as the Ethicon Suturing Challenge, and the always much anticipated CSF Soiré
