Educational Objectives:
Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:
• Evaluate current socioeconomic issues facing radiologists, radiation oncologists, and radiology business managers and how to prepare for change.
• Learn about technology and payment trends that will significantly impact radiology over the next decade.
• Learn to be a better clinician and leader.

Radiation Oncology
About the Meeting:
The Radiation Oncology session will include presentations from both attending faculty and residents. Presentations will review important issues including the current role of radiation therapy in the management of bladder cancer, curing early-stage NSCLC with SABR, recent trends in the treatment of locally advanced rectal cancer, the evolving role of spatially fractionated radiation therapy and the challenge of prior authorizations/peer to peer review and its impact on cancer care.

Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:
• Appreciate the current role of radiation therapy in the management of bladder cancer.
• Review the role of SABR in curing early-stage NSCLC.
• Discuss current trends in the treatment of locally advanced rectal cancer.
• Learn the role of spatially fractionated radiation therapy in the modern era.
• Understand the futility and inefficacy of prior authorizations and peer-to-peer review and their impact on cancer care.
