1st Hellenic Congress of Geriatric Psychiatry is organized by AFEA Travel and Congress Services and will be held from Nov 24 - 26, 2023 at Royal Olympic Hotel, Athens, Attica, Greece.

It is a special pleasure to invite psychiatrists, neurologists, general practitioners, psychologists, nurses, social workers, as well as pharmacologists, neuroscientists as well as any professional involved in the care of the elderly to the 1st Congress of Psychogeriatrics on Convergences and Perspectives in Psychogeriatrics. The conference is organized by the Hellenic Psychogeriatric Society (EPSGE), which is a member of the International Psychogeriatric Association, in collaboration with the Department of Psychogeriatrics of the EPSE.

Internationally, the mental health of the elderly is now recognized as an important public health issue and the broader relationship between mental health problems and aging is clear. The purpose of our conference is to be a forum for convergence between the various scientific disciplines, which contribute to the care of the mental health of the elderly, either in tertiary or primary health care. The organizing committee of the conference made every effort to design an integrated scientific program, with the main objective of searching for a solid and constructive composition, which could eventually lead to interesting research initiatives, to upgrade the services provided to the elderly with mental health problems and in the consolidation of psychogeriatrics in daily clinical practice.

The conference will take place in Athens from 24 to 26 November 2023 and will be attended by both prominent Greek scientists from various scientific fields (e.g. otolaryngologists, neuroradiologists), as well as distinguished international scientists, as our invited speakers, who deal with geriatric psychiatry and will share their knowledge and experience with us. The scientific prestige of the speakers as well as their fruitful interaction with the conference participants are a guarantee for a successful outcome.

Your active participation during the roundtables but also through the presentation of your scientific papers on topics related to Psychogeriatrics and the broader interface of Psychiatry and Neurosciences is critical to the success of the conference.
