The mission of the Belgian Interdisciplinary Working Group on Acute Cardiology, often known as BIWAC, is to further the study and knowledge of acute cardiology and its use in clinical settings. As well as through scientific research this can be achieved through the organization of scientific meetings and courses, the dissemination of knowledge, the editing of Guidelines for Good Clinical Practice, and other similar activities.

The mission of the Belgian Interdisciplinary Working Group of Acute Cardiology is to advance the field of acute cardiology in terms of research, knowledge, technological advancement, and clinical application. This promotion can be accomplished by the holding and organization of scientific meetings and courses, the exchange of information, the drafting of recommendations for effective clinical practice, and the stimulation of scientific research.

The mission of the Belgian interdisciplinary working group for acute cardiology is to encourage research into and knowledge of acute cardiac disease and its application to clinical practice. In light of this, the organization focuses its efforts on the promotion of study in addition to the organization of scientific congresses and specialist courses, the dissemination of information, and the production of suggestions for effective practice.
