Women in Leadership: 2022 Fall Institute is organized by American Association for Physician Leadership (AAPL) and will be held on Oct 30, 2022 at, Scottsdale, Arizona, United States of America.

Women face unique challenges in leadership, but also bring a unique perspective. This course will provide ideas, skills, and perspectives on leading every day. The gender-specific course format is designed to allow for greater openness among participants and provides a supportive environment.
We are excited to announce new changes being implemented into our course structure for Fall Institute to better support your professional development. Once you have completed this course, in addition to completing the course assessment and evaluation, you will be asked to submit an action plan that will identify and summarize the ways you intend to apply the course content to your practice. You will also be required to provide feedback on a peer’s action plan. You can expect to spend about two hours on this post-work activity and will have four weeks following the course to complete it.
Course Objectives :
• Recognize barriers that exist for women in leadership
• Gain a new perspective on how others perceive you as a leader
• Embrace your authentic leadership style
• Improve communication and negotiation skills
• Analyze and find relevance in the leadership stories of other professionals
• Recognize the importance of mentors and how to identify one
• Evaluate strategies to reduce gender bias in the workplace
