Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) Summer Conference & Annual Meeting - 2022 is organized by Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) and will be held from Jul 31 - Aug 04, 2022, at Viewline Resort Snowmass, Autograph Collection, Snowmass Village, Colorado, United States of America.

Course Description:
Shawna Pandya MD, Keynote Speaker, was recently chosen by The Explorers Club to be one of the "50 People Changing the World the World Wants To Know About".

Participation in the optional Medical Wilderness Adventure Race (MedWAR) will let you show off your wilderness survival skills and medical skills while satisfying your competitive side.

Highlights of the Conference include:

• Keynote speaker Shawna Pandya MD was recently chosen by The Explorers Club to be one of the "50 People Who Are Changing the World the World Must Know About".

Participation in the optional Medical Wilderness Adventure Race (MedWAR) will let you show off your wilderness survival skills as well as your medicine skills while satisfying your competitive side.

• A variety of hands-on workshops, including Helicopter Rescue, Breath Holding and Scuba-comms Systems, will be offered.

• Small group sessions are available. Camp Cookoff: Nutrition Flavor, Fusion.

• Two pre-conferences will be held: the Diploma in Mountain Medicine and Advanced Wilderness Life Support (AWLS).

• There will be plenty of time for you to relax, learn, and connect with your friends. Participants will have the opportunity to go fly fishing, mountain biking, climbing, horseback riding, river kayaking and horseback riding.

Program Overview:
Four-season Snowmass Village is a destination that's rich in culture and natural beauty. It is an ideal spot for artists and adventure-seekers as well as outdoor enthusiasts. Viewline Resort is located centrally in the middle of everything. There is endless entertainment right outside the hotel.

All things summer wilderness will be discussed in both evening and morning main-stage lectures. There are two options: indoor small groups or outdoor workshops. You might also choose to spend time outdoors, such as hiking, climbing, biking, or other outdoor activities.

The registration fee includes lectures, all small group sessions, syllabus, four breakfasts, and one ticket to the Wednesday evening banquet. You can purchase additional tickets for your family and friends.

Who?
This meeting is for Physicians who participate in outdoor activities like mountain climbing, or who work in areas where they may be able to offer advice to others. There may be people who have been injured in these activities.

What?
The registration fee includes all lectures, small group sessions, four breakfasts, and a reception. The registration fee includes access to the online platform, lecture recordings, as well as Wednesday night's keynote dinner. Additional tickets to the banquet and pre-conference workshops are also available.

When?
July 31-August 4, 2022 (optional pre-conference events starting as early as July 30, 20,22.

To complete this sermonic conference, Participants will be better equipped to:
• Recognize the challenges inherent in practicing medicine in extreme conditions
• Make sure you are prepared to practice medicine under harsh conditions
• Recognize and treat common illnesses and injuries that occur in the wild

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Covid-19 Safety Protocol:
All attendees, faculty and staff are required to be fully vaccinated, received a booster (if the last dose of vaccination was completed more than 5 months prior to the start of a conference) and provide a negative COVID-19 test (PCR test drawn within 72 hours of conference start date or Antigen test within 24 hours of the conference start date)
Daily health attestation completed each morning of the conference.
 Have you exhibited any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, sore throat, chills, body aches, fatigue, headache, loss of  taste/smell, eye drainage, congestion, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) during the last 14 days? 
Masks will be required at all times for any indoor events, shared travel, or outdoor activities requiring close proximity.
•  Social distancing protocols will be observed as much as possible.
•  Information on local testing resources will be available.
Vaccinated & boosted guests ages 5 years & over may attend events after showing proof of status. Because they are not currently eligible for COVID-19 vaccines, children  ages 4 and younger will not be able to attend any events.
 Negative test not required for those with recent recovery from active infection. Proof of positive PCR or Antigen test > 14 days and < 90 days must be provided.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Written notice of cancellation must reach the WMS office
On or before Wednesday, June 1, 2022 in order to receive full refund.
Between Thursday, June 2, 2022 but on or before Monday, July 18, 2022 in order to receive a full refund minus $100 service fee.
After Monday, July 18, 2022 no refunds will be given.

Registrant can choose to transfer their in-person registration to a virtual option up until July 18. The difference between the two registration prices will be offered as a refund or you may choose to donate the amount.
The WMS cannot be responsible for any personal or travel conditions that may prevent attendance at the conference.
