Vascular Ultrasound Imaging Course is organized by Wessex Diagnostic (WD) and will be held from Sep 27 - 28, 2022 at Novotel Manchester Centre Hotel, Manchester, England, United Kingdom.

Overview:
We offer a two-day intensive socially distant course in duplex, pulsed waves, color, and power Doppler techniques for the study of abdominal, extra, and intra-cranial vasculature.

Structure: Theory lectures include practical, hands-on scanning workshops that are facilitated by our faculty.
• These lectures will cover the basics of techniques as well as a review of current ultrasound arteriography/venography.
• The practical workshops offer 1:1 supervision of scanning in small groups with a variety of live models.

Topics:
Haemodynamics, Doppler Ultrasound, Lower leg arteries, Investigation carotid and vertebral blood vessels, Superficial vein system, Intracranial vasculature. Lower Limb Deep Venous System. Upper limb vasculature. Ultrasound imaging in surgery. Aorta, Branches, Stent surveillance, Ultrasound monitoring for haemodialysis. Artifacts and errors.

The lectures include ultrasound imaging during surgical procedures, and an artefacts & errors guide. These clinical lectures are:
• Variants of normal vasculature
• Exam protocols
• Current accepted diagnostic criteria
• Case histories
• Mistakes in Interpretation

You can also use a limb Phantom to train in the ultrasound monitoring of Endovenous Laser Ablation procedures. This is done under the supervision of a Vascular Surgeon.
