In the past decade, value-based care has evolved as clinicians and practices across the country have wrestled with managing the transition to a new healthcare delivery model. To be able to deliver on the promise of higher-quality, lower-cost care for patients, physician leaders need a new framework to implement a successful transition to value-based healthcare. This course will provide that framework and teach you what value-based care is, enable you to apply approaches to manage key challenges facing its implementation, and equip you with the knowledge necessary to design value-based care strategies around people, processes, and technology in your organization. Over this two-day course, you will learn about the components of value-based care delivery systems and the changes value-based care is making in the U.S. healthcare delivery system. You will also develop the skills necessary to complete an organizational readiness assessment, design new care models, implement appropriate provider compensation models, and negotiate a value-based care contract with a payer. By the end of this course, you will be able to lead the development of value-based care within your own healthcare system.

Course Objectives :
• Identify the components of value-based healthcare, including the care models, payment models, and economic constructs that differentiate its
  characteristics from other healthcare delivery models.
• Describe and apply strategies for developing value-based care systems.
• Assess organizational readiness for a transition to value-based care, including culture, change management, and other organizational capabilities
  and assets.
• Describe components necessary for transforming a healthcare delivery system toward a value-based care system.
• Analyze the range of payment models available for transitioning to value-based care.
• Describe the aspects of contract negotiations necessary for successful value-based payment models.
• Identify the tactics necessary to leverage strategic partnerships and community ecosystems in order to reinvest and address social determinants of
 health.
