The RCR's Road to FRCR in Dubai is organized by The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) and will be held on Oct 02, 2022 at InterContinental Dubai Festival City, Dubai Festival City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, United Arab Emirates.
Course Description:
The Royal College of Radiologists is pleased to announce the first course of its kind, The road to FRCR. The course is aimed at radiology trainees as well as practising consultant radiologists who are aiming to obtain the FRCR accreditation.
This event will be delivered by an experienced radiology faculty, who will update prospective trainees on the latest requirements of the individual components of the Fellowship examination.
Leading specialists from the United Kingdom will deliver sessions on the format of the FRCR examination with each component of the exam discussed and an emphasis on the preparation, study tips and suggestions for exam success. A practical demonstration of the type of examination will be enacted. This will be followed by a FRCR 2B viva session, in which all delegates will have the opportunity to be examined in small groups under exam conditions. The day will conclude with a pivotal session geared towards exploring training techniques for the FRCR, suitable for both trainees and trainers.
Learning Outcomes:
• Understand the structure of the FRCR examination, curriculum requirements and what it takes to succeed. Learn the art of studying and training
• Strategy for organising a study plan to cover all elements of the FRCR Part 1, 2A with prime emphasis on FRCR 2B
• Tips and tricks for all components of the FRCR 2B examination which includes rapid reporting, reporting (long cases) and viva
• Establish an understanding of common pearls and pitfalls in a unique simulation viva session
• Dedicated small group tutorials creating a one-on-one mock viva experience with up to 7 hot seat viva sessions for each candidate
• Individualised feedback highlighting the parameters assessed by the RCR.
