It is obvious that epigenetic as well as chromatin-related states influence DNA replication as well as DNA repair, two processes that are essential for maintaining the integrity of the genome. But, the majority of meetings on epigenetics and chromatin are focused on transcription, whereas the majority of gatherings on genome integrity pay the absence of epigenetics or the chromatin. The purpose for this event is to gather researchers that are concerned with epigenetic control as well as the integrity of the genome for discussions and exchange of ideas. The conference will help bridge the gap and connect scientists who are interested in epigenetic regulatory mechanisms and chromatin to those interested in the integrity of genomes.

Alongside the research focus, we'll foster interactions between two societies: which are the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and the Biophysical Society of China. The first conference that was jointly held by both societies was held in China in the year 2019 and was extremely successful. We are looking forward to hosting next year's conference to be held in America in 2022. U.S. in 2022.

The main topic of this conference is the dynamic interaction between chromatin, which includes histone modification and high-order chromatin structures, as well as the processes that affect genome integrity such as repairs to DNA and the damage-response. In addition, we will investigate how this interplay can go wrong in aging and cancerous cells.
