OVERVIEW

The 62nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Respiratory Society (JRS) will be held at Kyoto International Conference Center, Kyoto, Kansai, Japan, from April 22 to 24, 2022 which is organized by The Japanese Respiratory Society (JRS)

Theme: The evolution of respiratory medicine for better health

Description:

Well-being refers to physical, psychological, and social well-being. Thus, COVID-19 is an infectious disease that has the potential to compromise our health in this way. However, well-being varies from person to person. It is important to consider what constitutes a person's "well-being" and to respect their sense of values. A physician must consider a patient's "happiness" when examining them regardless of whether they are receiving "correct" treatment based on EBM. As a result, patient-oriented individualized medical care and the treatment of people with multiple medical conditions, such as the elderly, are based on the concept of well-being.

The Annual Meeting's programme is presently being finalized. As regarded from the premise of striving to promote well-being for individual patients, this should become a chance to research well-being outside the boundaries of respiratory medicine. Of course, this is primarily a networking opportunity for academics. In this regard, talks should also include the findings of long-term COVID-19 impacts study conducted by professionals, including members of this Society. I'd want to arrange a respiratory medicine version of the "Kotohajime" research programme for medical students and junior doctors in the field if situations allow. It would be really appreciated if you could actively participate.
