Rural Medicine Australia (RMA) 2022 is organized by the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM), Rural Doctors Association of Australia (RDAA) and will be held from Oct 12 - 15, 2022 at National Convention Centre Canberra, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia.

RMA22 streams
Stream one:
Bold - celebrating and leading change for improved rural health outcomes
This stream features advocacy success stories and provides solutions-focused sessions. The topics could include: community and stakeholder collaboration to accomplish more; rural practices working jointly; championing generalism across all disciplines and valuing all clinicians who care for rural communities. Sessions can also be used to discuss and update on new technologies and policies in rural-proofing rural communities and health.
Stream two Boundless - rural solutions for busy doctors and practices
This stream will include innovative ways hospitals, clinics, and practices have dealt with rural emergencies such as the pandemic. This could include the training of non-medical staff in managing the increased workload, telehealth and virtual services successes, tips on logging CPD requirements, and remote patient monitoring. The presentation may include tips for maintaining financial viability and demonstrating how technology advances can be used to make work easier, not harder. Teachers and supervisors are encouraged to share their experiences with adapting teaching, supervision, or models of care.
Stream three
Beyond - Enhancing the skillset and knowledge of rural specialists
This stream will feature interactive sessions on procedural skills, patient examination techniques, procedural hacks, and the must have tools of the trade' in rural practice. Sessions can also include advanced skills in non-procedural areas like population health, academic practice, and remote medicine.
Stream four
Together - Recognizing the importance of clinicians and communities well being
This stream will showcase initiatives that support clinician and community wellness; practical demonstrations of self-care strategies; mental health upskilling; nurturing happy workers, and the attitudes and actions required to support meaningful connections. This stream will also highlight the community's support and solidarity with clinicians at the frontline..
