OVERVIEW

Pacific Northwest Endovascular Conference (PNEC) 2022 is organized by Behind The Scenes and will be held from May 26 - 27, 2022 at Hyatt Regency Seattle, Seattle, Washington, United States of America.

Target Audience:
Pacific Northwest Endovascular (PNEC) will be of value to vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, interventional cardiologists, nurses and other physicians and healthcare providers involved in endovascular procedures.

Description:
Over the last decade, the Pacific Northwest Endovascular Conference (PNEC) has set the bar for quality endovascular education and training. With its interactive learning format, world-class faculty, focused breakout sessions and opportunities for physicians-in-training, PNEC has emerged as a powerhouse wiht national recogntion.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, the learner should be able to:
• Identify appropriate treatment methods for complex aortic pathology
• Recognize the limitations and benefits of fenestrated endografting.
• Determine which endovascular procedures are a durable solution for the lower extremity
• Analyze strategies to treat patients with Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI)
• Assess different stent treatment strategies for lower extremity pathology
• Describe the imaging necessary to treat pelvic venous disease
• Identify strategies to treat perforator incompetence
• Analyze the impact of atherosclerosis on the future of patients
• Describe trans-cervical carotid stenting and transfemoral carotid stenting procedures
• Identify strategies for treating pediatric patients

PNEC Simulation Summit for Vascular Trainees:
The PNEC Simulation Summit for Vascular Trainees offers focused training and certification in the use of endovascular techniques for the management of aortic dissection and ruptured AAA (rAAA). The Summit provides senior cardiovascular trainees a forum to learn advanced endovascular techniques for the management of aortic dissection and rAAA. It also allows the senior trainees the opportunity to attend PNEC, the premier endovascular meeting in the Pacific Northwest. The PNEC Simulation Summit for Vascular Trainees will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022, the day prior to PNEC.

The PNEC Simulation Summit for Vascular Trainees is open to Fellows in the following categories:
• Senior Cardiothoracic Fellows
• Senior Peripheral Intervention Fellows
• Senior Vascular Fellows
• PGY-5 Integrated Vascular Resident

Program Goals:
• Enable the cardiovascular trainees (vascular fellow, CT fellow, PGY-5 integrated vascular residents) a forum to learn advanced endovascular techniques for the management of PAD, aortic dissection, traumatic aortic transection and ruptured AAA (rAAA) from world-class experts in the field.
• Allow the cardiovascular trainees the opportunity to attend PNEC, the premier endovascular meeting in the Pacific Northwest.
• Allow opportunity to have focused training in the use of endovascular techniques for the management of PAD, aortic dissection, traumatic aortic transection and rAAA using the most advanced endovascular simulators available.

Program Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, the learner should be able to:
• Identify the indications for intervention in both acute and chronic type B aortic dissection.
• Use thoracic endovascular grafts to manage and treat both acute and chronic type B dissection.
• Plan and use thoracic endografts to manage blunt thoracic aortic transection.
• Use abdominal endovascular grafts for the management of ruptured AAA.
• Use intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) to manage aortic dissection and traumatic aortic transection.
• Understand both open and endovascular treatment options for the management of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and critical limb ischemia (CLI) in the femoropopliteal segment.
• Describe techniques for treatment of CTO lesions including the use of atherectomy, laser, and re-entry devices.
• Describe current data regarding the use of drug-coated balloon (DCB).
• Identify and describe imaging modalities used in the management of CLI.
