North Carolina and South Carolina Societies of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery 2022 Annual Assembly is organized by North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) and will be held from Jul 15 - 17, 2022 at The Omni Grove Park Inn, Asheville, North Carolina, United States of America.
Target Audience and Purpose:
The main objective of this educational activity is to provide practical, case-based acquaintance and skills to actively practicing and academic otolaryngologists and head and neck surgeons, fellows, residents in training, medical students, physician assistants, and advanced practice providers.
Objectives
In order to complete this educational activity, participants will be better able to:
• Recognize the signs of the rapidly growing osseointegrated hearing device profile.
• Introduce a novel surgical procedure for a frontal sinus surgery that yields superior results.
• Instruct students on current SSCD diagnostic testing and surgical treatment options.
• Recognize the unique requirements and risk factors for singers and other vocal performers, as well as the best methods for assessing and treating this population in terms of medical, surgical, and behavioral management, and making decisions about voice rest, cancellation, or modification of performance.
• Learn about Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery's growing role in the treatment of skin cancer.
• Review of the Tinnitus Practice Guideline from the American Academy of Otolaryngology, including particular examples from recent research and clinical activities to demonstrate the guideline's utility for practitioners working with tinnitus patients.
