Target Audience:
This course is for trauma surgeons and interventional radiologists. It also includes nurses, technologists, intensivists, and other medical professionals who provide care for acutely ill trauma patients.
Overview:
This multidisciplinary meeting, which will include experts in interventional radiation and Trauma surgery, will help to improve the management of trauma patients. Experts in this field will present all the major topics related to the treatment of trauma patients. This meeting will emphasize the importance of trauma surgery and interventional radiology. In doing so, it will bring internationally-recognized leaders to present a multi-faceted approach to care for one of the most challenging types of patients to care for: the critically-ill acute trauma patient. The program will focus on current interventional and endovascular techniques, as well as state-of-the-art equipment that can be used by trauma surgeons and interventional radiologists to save lives. The focus of the endovascular treatments will be embolization and balloon occlusion.
