The conference is designed to benefit researchers as well as public health practitioners and clinicians. The meeting should appeal to physicians, epidemiologists, dietitians, nutritional scientists, exercise physiologists, behavioral scientists, biostatisticians, pharmacists, physician assistants, nurses, school health professionals and other health scientists.

Description:
The primary goal of the EPI|Lifestyle Scientific Sessions is to promote population science related to promotion of cardiovascular health and prevention of heart disease and stroke. This year's theme is "Green World, Heart-Healthy Living. focusing on emerging cardiovascular science concerning food sustainability and environmental health.

Learning Objectives:
• Recognize opportunities to address identifiable and modifiable risk factors for ASCVD and implement the recommendations from recent guidelines on primary ASCVD prevention as well as tobacco use.
• Analyze the causes and health consequences of continuing disparities in ASCVD risk factors among certain racial/ethnic, gender and socioeconomic groups.
• Describe the relationship between psychological stress and cardiovascular health and evaluate current evidence on psychological interventions to reduce cardiovascular risk.
• Describe the impact of the built environment on the cardiovascular health of populations and identify research and preventative opportunities to improve such environments.
• Discuss current evidence and research needs related to primordial and primary ASCVD prevention in children and adolescents.
• Explain the concepts of Big Data and precision medicine and identify research opportunities as well as their applications in ASCVD prevention and treatment.
• Identify innovative areas and new skillsets for research in cardiovascular epidemiology for early-career scientists as well as the existing scientific workforce.
