Course Overview:
The Duke Transplant Advanced Provider Bootcamp is a gathering for PAs and NPs working in organ transplantation. This intense educational course enhances the APP's role in treating patients who have received transplants. This event will offer updates on current protocols, discuss fresh and interesting topics within the transplant field, and discuss the various projects in which transplant APPs are involved across the nation. This didactic program is open to anyone working with patients who have had solid organ transplants.
Transplantation of organs is a constantly evolving and complicated area of medicine. The goals of this program are to encourage education in medical and surgical issues in the field of lung, heart, and abdominal transplantation; investigate the role played by APPs in the transplantation community; and review ongoing quality improvement and research projects in transplantation.

• Discuss surgical topics in general and transplant surgery.
• Discuss medical topics that relate to patients who have received a transplant
• Recognize national projects where APPs are involved.
• Compare transplant program practices with protocols
