The CSAM-SMCA 2022 Scientific Conference is Canada’s premier education and networking event for addiction medicine practitioners. In 2022, the event will be held in-person from Nov. 3-5 at the iconic Bessborough Hotel in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. A discounted virtual event will follow one week later, featuring recordings of the in-person event.

The annual conference is an important networking event for the addiction medicine community, and offers cutting-edge addiction medicine education from leading Canadian thinkers, researchers, practitioners, and people with lived and living experience of substance use and their families and friends (LLEAFF). Sessions explore new scientific research and emerging best practice principles, and encourage the sharing of diverse perspectives.

By the end of this conference, participants will be able to:
• Describe current challenges faced in the field of addiction medicine in Canada
• List the latest discoveries in clinical practice and research in addiction medicine
• Integrate new best practice guidelines in addiction medicine into their clinical settings
