Contrast Media Research Symposium (CMR) was founded in 1970 by Elliot Lasser, San Diego 1970, and has since had 21 editions. CMR has proven to be a unique event that brings together top researchers from academia as well as industry gather to exchange the latest information and thoughts in an open and collegial symposium. The structure of CMR includes lectures in scientific sessions and discussions with the speakers and audience members taking on a central role. Topics for the program include however, they are not restricted to ultrasound, iodinated Optical as well as MRI contrast agents MPI Trackers, imaging molecules, and molecular agents, and adverse reactions or toxicology related to contrast agents. They plan to publish abstracts from CMR in an open-access journal, which historically has been called Investigative Radiology.
