College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (COD-ABPD) 2022 Fall Study Club is organized by the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (COD-ABPD) and will be held from Sep 29 - Oct 01, 2022, at Fairmont Banff Springs, Banff, Alberta, Canada.

Course Outline:
Details on a range of therapies and materials used to provide dental patients and children with oral health services will be covered in this course. Infiltration of resin and the use of silver diamine fluoride are two recent advances in caries management techniques. For the purpose of pulp capping and pulpotomies, many pulp medicines made of various silicate-based materials have been created and are used. There are many materials available to finish the restoration of the main anterior teeth, including composite resin glass ionomers and resin-modified glass ionomers. Non-surgical restorative treatments are still up for dispute. Resin-faced steel crowns and, more recently, zirconia crowns are other aesthetic options for anterior restorations. In addition to discussing cases and providing evidence to justify the usage of various methods and materials, this section will analyse the advantages and disadvantages of the various types of materials and the ways utilised to employ them. The participants will be urged to participate and share their stories with the group.
Course Goals:
After successfully completing this didactic course the participant will:
• Learn about the different materials that can be used to treat cavities, restore teeth, and improve the appearance of primary and early permanent teeth.
• Be aware of the rationale behind the selection of various materials and restorative techniques for primary and developing permanent teeth.
• Become acquainted with surgical and non-surgical techniques for restoring primary teeth.
• Know the research supporting the usage of different dental tools on dental patients.
