Cervical Bio-Skills Lab 2022 is organized by Spine Intervention Society (SIS) and will be held from Apr 23 - 24, 2022 at Science Care, Phoenix, Arizona, United States of America.
Target Audience:
The purpose of this live activity is to provide participants with an overview of spine intervention procedures.
Description:
To ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigour, SIS designs and implements educational programmes in compliance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Criteria and Standards for Commercial Support. The Society's disclosure policy, as an ACCME-accredited provider, demands that anybody in a position to control the content of an educational activity has revealed all financial affiliations to the provider. "'Relevant' financial relationships," according to the ACCME, are any financial relationships that occurred within the previous 24 months that created a conflict of interest.
Before each presentation, members of the Education Division check all disclosures and have a resolution procedure in place that, if not satisfied, results in the speaker's expulsion. This policy is intended to ensure that the Society's CME activities promote quality and safety, are effective in improving medical practise, are based on valid content, and are independent of commercial interests and free of commercial bias, rather than to prohibit expert speakers with relevant relationship(s), commercial interest(s), or other interests from participating in CME. At this meeting, all participants will be given disclosure information. Speakers must also advise participants of this information verbally and on the introductory slide at the start of each session.
Educational Objectives:
After completing this course, participants should be able to:
• Examine the relevant anatomy's imaging representation;
• Relate the patient's medical history and physical exam results to imaging to arrive at a likely diagnosis of the spinal pathology that is causing the patient's pain or dysfunction;
• Describe the evidence for the procedures' efficacy in the literature;
• Determine the risks and advantages of each procedure, as well as the evaluation, prevention, and treatment of probable consequences;
• Perform the spinal procedures correctly utilising safe fluoroscopic guidance with minimal tissue injury or discomfort.
