OVERVIEW

American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Special Conference: Cancer Metastasis is organized by American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and will be held from Jan 09 - 12, 2022 at Hyatt Regency Portland At The Oregon Convention Center, Portland, Oregon, United States of America.

Target Audience:
This conference will provide physicians with a understanding of the latest advances in our understanding of this biological process and outline the clinical implications of these findings in the prevention, detection, and treatment of metastatic cancer. These changes in competence include:
• Allow physicians to better understand the underlying biology and new approaches to detect and track cancer metastasis.
• Identify emerging therapeutic approaches to better treat patients with metastatic cancer.
• To better discuss factors which prevent and promote cancer metastasis.
• Explain the current research in cancer metastasis

Description:
This AACR Special Conference will feature presentations on the most recent findings in cancer metastasis. Sessions will feature presentations on metabolic adaptations, epigenetic plasticity, genomic changes, circulating cancer cells, microenvironment, and dormancy. Sessions will also address routes of metastasis, signaling, and genetic instability. In addition to presentations on the basic science of metastasis, top researchers will also address the implications of these findings on the development of novel approaches for detecting, tracking, and treating metastatic cancer. This conference will provide a unique opportunity for exchanges between a wide array of investigators, including basic scientists, translational researchers, and those in the clinic. Make plans now to attend this exciting conference.

Learning Objectives:
After participating in this CME activity, physicians should be able to:
• Discuss the metabolic adaptations that allow and potentiate cancer metastasis.
• Identify the impact of genetic instability and signaling on the development of metastatic cells.
• Articulate how liquid biopsies can be used to track cancer metastases.
• Explain the features of the microenvironment that play a role in the development of metastatic disease .
• Compare the genomic and epigenomic changes that occur in metastatic tumors.
• Discuss the potential vulnerabilities of circulating tumor cells as an approach to prevent metastases.

Note: On-demand registration will provide access to the virtual meeting platform approximately 7-10 days after the meeting. On-demand registration will provide access to all lecture sessions (synchronized slides and audio), short video presentations of posters, the final program schedules, abstracts, awardees, supporters, and related meeting information. On-demand viewing will remain available until March 18 (70 days after last day of meeting).
