2022 American Psychopathological Association (APPA) Annual Meeting is organized by American Psychopathological Association (APPA) and will be held from Mar 03 - 05, 2022 at Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, New York City, New York, United States of America.

Overview:

At its 2022 conference, the APPA will examine the important role timing plays in categorizing, assessing, etiology, risk factors, manifestations, treatments, and outcomes. From the broader pattern of contextual and biologic influences across the life span on manifestations of psychopathology, our speakers and discussants will cover the full spectrum of evidence. In this section, we will discuss evidence of mental disorders, including affective disorders, psychosis, substance abuse, and other conditions as well as their underlying domains, such as mood, anxiety, sleep, attention, and behavior.  In this presentation, concepts and research will be discussed related to neural dynamics, critical periods, and environmental and intrinsic drivers inside the day, daily, and weekly cycles and aging research and the role of timing of social and environmental influences on health and mental health. We will look at how these principles can be applied to conceptualizing, classifying, estimating risk, and treating mental disorders based on rhythms and dynamics.
