Course Overview:
This advanced course emphasizes the importance of team dynamics high performance and communication, the systems of care, and the identification and treatment of cardiac arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrhythmias acute dysrhythmia, and stroke, as well as acute coronary syndromes. This course will teach you the knowledge and skills necessary to deal with the possibility of cardiac arrest, any events which could cause cardiac arrest, as well as situations that can follow the cardiac arrest. The central focus of this class is the management and evaluation for the initial 10 mins of sworn adult, heart-related heart arrest. The other essentials of the course are included in the 10 essential ACLS cases.
Learning Goals:
By the end of this sermon, attendees should be better equipped to:
• Identify and initiate the early treatment for peri-arrest-related conditions that could cause cardiac arrest, or cause complications in the results of resuscitation.
• Prove competence in the provision of BLS treatment, including the importance of high-quality chest Compressions and using an automatic external defibrillator (AED) for both the infant and adult.
• Demonstrate how to relieve a Conscious/Unconscious choking victim.
• Identify and treat respiratory arrest
• Recognize and manage the symptoms of cardiac arrest up to the time of termination of resuscitation or transfer medical care including immediate post-cardiac arrest treatment
• Identify and initiate early treatment of Acute Coronary Syndromes. This includes the appropriate treatment
• Identify and initiate early treatment of Stroke and the appropriate treatment
• Effective communication is essential as a leader or a member of a team for resuscitation and understanding the impact of team dynamics on overall performance
