Over the last decade there has been a tremendous progression: from simple imaging towards detailed diagnosis, reliable prediction of progression and even effective therapy. For the patient unpleasant procedures and interventions have been replaced by gentle ones. In this symposium the most important developments will be discussed by very experienced colleagues. There will be sufficient time for questions and answers. With the program they are aiming at gastroenterologists, hepatologists, internists, radiologists and all who have an interest in imaging, whether senior or trainee. In this symposium attention will be given to you will be updated on esophagus and stomach, IBD, colorectal carcinoma, liver, pancreas and biliary tract. All invited speakers will answer the question “What’s new?” such that you are really updated. And last but no least they would like to introduce some new developments.
