The epigenome controls all cell processes and allows for the timely expression our genetic information. Recent research has shown that epigenetic changes are a key factor in many rare malignancies. This is a new type of cancer. Epigenetic modifications to DNA and histones can be reversed, which is in contrast with oncogenic genetic mutations. This makes epigenetic therapeutics a promising area. Although epigenetic changes have been observed in many cancer cells, it is crucial to identify the epigenetic factors that cause cancer. The conference on cancer epigenomics will cover not only the fundamental concepts but also the cutting-edge developments in our understanding and application of 3D genome, including chromatin architecture and chromatin complexes, as well as gene regulation, specifically in relation to oncogenic mechanisms in cancer and new therapeutic possibilities in cancer.
