87th Harden Conference: Single-molecule bacteriology II is organized by the Biochemical Society and will be held from Jul 11 - 14, 2022 at Milton Hill House,?Milton Hill, Abingdon, England, United Kingdom.
Description:
The ability to examine molecular processes underpinning bacterial function has been revolutionized thanks to single-molecule imaging. Fluorescent proteins and dyes, ultrasensitive microscopy, and image-analysis software have made it possible to see reactions, interactions, and motions within single bacteria. In some ways, we're "re-discovering" microorganisms through new eyes.
This interdisciplinary meeting's agenda will highlight interesting discoveries in this nascent sector. Structure/mechanistic research using super-resolution imaging and single-molecule microscopy, new quantitative in vivo techniques applicable to bacteria, complementary theoretical modeling approaches, and clinical/commercial studies will all be part of this.
This is the topic of the 87th Harden Conference, a Biochemical Society event series that offers residential research conferences on a certain topic. These gatherings are well-known for emphasizing free and open debate to stimulate the exchange of the most up-to-date information as well as a critical examination of the technical obstacles that these innovations face.
Additional information about further details will be announced as soon as it becomes available.
