OVERVIEW

4th Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology (ASPNR) is organized by American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology (ASPNR) and will be held from Jan 07 - 09, 2022 at Eden Roc Miami Beach, Miami Beach, Florida, United States of America.

Target Audience:
• General neuroradiologists and pediatric radiologists looking to expand their fund of knowledge in pediatric neuroimaging and stay informed of new developments
• Pediatric neuroradiologists aiming to learn more about current issues and advances in the field
• General radiologists seeking to improve their understanding and skills in pediatric neuroimaging
• Non-radiologists who are interested in exploring neuroimaging perspectives of pediatric neurologic disease
• Allied health professionals, medical physicists, and medical researchers interested in pursuing practical aspects of pediatric neuroimaging and emerging research
• Physicians-in-training with an early interest in pediatric neuroradiology

Description:
They are looking forward to sun, sand, and seeing all our colleagues without the aid of a video camera! The meeting will be 2.5 days (and nights) of action-packed fun and pediatric neuroradiology education. The program will cover challenging topics in pediatric neuroradiology with deep dives into advanced imaging techniques, head and neck imaging, vascular disorders and much more. If it’s January, it’s time for the most comprehensive pediatric neuroradiology meeting of the year! #ASPNR22 will provide a much-needed opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and meet new friends, both in the conference room and on the beach! Join us in Miami on January 7-9, 2022, where you will engage with physicians from around the world for a fantastic educational experience.

Educational Objectives:
At the completion of the meeting, attendees should be able to:
• Describe a wide range of imaging techniques and pathologies encountered in the pediatric head and neck
• Systematically evaluate children with hearing loss using both MRI and CT
• Know practical approaches for imaging pediatric patients with cervical adenopathy, branchial plexus injury, central diabetes insipidus and suspected leukodystrophy
• Discern appropriate conditions for fast brain MRI and its potential pitfalls
• Describe pertinent features and use appropriate nomenclature for extra axial findings in abusive head trauma
• Better understand a variety of advanced neuroimaging techniques for potential use in the pediatric population, such as MR spectroscopy and perfusion imaging (ASL and DSC)
• Evaluate acute and chronic seizure patients, including with the use of advanced techniques such as BOLD, DTI and PET/MRI
• Categorize vascular malformations of the head and neck and become familiar with major associated syndromes and standard treatment options
• Implement strategies to reduce the use of anesthesia using preparation and motion mitigation techniques
• Evaluate patients with a Chiari 1 deformity and understand associated prognostic findings
• Understand autoimmune and demyelinating processes in the children including emerging diseases and biomarkers
