The 26th Annual Spring Conference on Pediatric Emergencies is organized by Symposia Medicus and will be held at Dreams Playa Bonita Panama Resort & Spa, Panama City, Panama from Mar 30 - Apr 02, 2022.

This course is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician associates, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team who work with pediatric patients.

Our faculty will discuss the most recent evidence-based advancements in pediatric emergency medicine, present emerging clinical data, and provide skills and strategies for application and implementation into your practise, covering a wide range of topics including differential diagnoses for respiratory emergencies, endocrinology, child abuse, mental health, and orthopaedic emergencies, among others.

The goal of this training exercise is to enhance all participants' competence and performance as well as their ability to collaborate within a coordinated healthcare team.

The conference's topics were chosen based on the educational needs that underpin reported professional practise gaps. The gaps had been derived from a variety of sources inclusive of evaluations and effects records from previous participants, medical expert input, Symposia Medicus’ online survey, and different medical and nursing statistics such as current medical guidelines, lookup findings, literature reviews, and affected person security considerations.

For this conference, an extraordinary faculty has been recruited. Each faculty member was chosen for their specific field of knowledge as well as their ability to present current, evidence-based, and useful information to participants.

The format of the conference includes didactic lectures, Q&A sessions, case studies, and small group breakout sessions. During Q&A sessions that follow a series of lectures, attendees can ask the faculty important and difficult questions about patient care in a variety of paediatric emergency situations. 

The breakout sessions, which are designed to encourage even more contact between instructors and participants, provide an opportunity to participate in group discussions on topics related to your specific area of interest. • Review the compensating child with metabolic endocrinopathy
• Identify risk factors and indicators of abuse and neglect and apply that knowledge to the medical work and differential diagnosis
• Identify orthopedic emergencies that don't require a consultation with an emergency orthopedic specialist
• During an emergency, treat sexually transmitted infections (STIs) with extra care
• Know the appropriate psychopharmacologic drugs and dosages for a variety of developmental and behavioral health conditions.
