ICCA Stroke is an interdisciplinary and interactive course focused on carotid stenting and acute stroke interventions. Leading experts in the field will guide you through patient selection, interventional imaging, accessing the carotids and intracranial vessels, embolic protection, device options, post-procedural care as well as avoiding and managing complications. Acute Stroke Interventions:
There Is Level 1a Evidence for Thrombectomy in Acute Stroke With a Number Needed to Treat (Nnt) Of Only 2, Acute Stroke Interventions Are Extremely Efficient. Up to 20% Of Acute Strokes Can and Should Be Treated With Catheter Techniques, but There Are Not Enough Interventionists Capable of Performing These Procedures Outside of Large Stroke Centers. We Want to Change This by Educating Interventionists From Different Specialties About Catheter-Based Stroke Interventions. Hands-on Training:
The program will include simulator demonstrations by our experienced faculty and a limited number of one-on-one training sessions will be available for registered attendees.
