Vascular Ultrasound Imaging Course is organized by Wessex Diagnostic (WD) and will be held from Oct 12 -13, 2021 in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom.

Accreditation:
This course provides 10 CPD credits in accordance with the CPD Scheme of the Royal College of Radiologists.

Overview:
An intensive 2-day fully socially, distanced course on the application of duplex, pulsed wave, colour and power Doppler techniques in the investigation of the abdominal, extra and intra-cranial and peripheral vasculature. A comprehensive combination of lectures, demonstrations and workshop sessions are provided, designed to cover both the basic principles of these techniques and a review of the current state of ultrasound arteriography and venography.

Structure:
Theory lectures are supported by practical hands-on workshop facilitated by our top faculty. Models and a range of ultrasound systems are provided, with the opportunity to use a limb phantom for training in ultrasound monitoring of Endovenous laser ablation procedures.

Topics include:
Haemodynamics and Doppler Ultrasound, Lower limb arteries, Investigation carotid and vertebral arteries, Superficial venous system, Intracranial vasculature, Lower Limb Deep venous system, Upper limb vasculature, Ultrasound imaging in surgery, Aorta and branches, Stent and graft surveillance, Ultrasound monitoring of haemodialysis, Artefacts and errors.

The emphasis will be on clinical lectures supported with practical hands-on workshops facilitated by professionally qualified demonstrators. Models and a range of ultrasound systems are provided in the workshops, with the opportunity to use a limb phantom for training in ultrasound monitoring of EVLA procedures.
