This three day workshop is dedicated to ultrasound guided peripheral nerve blocks of the upper and lower extremity. The workshop will be hosted in the brand new 3,000-square-foot Center for Research and Human Simulation in Virginia Commonwealth University’s College of Health Professions in Richmond, VA. The workshop offers CRNAs both lecture and small group hands-on training with the use of live scanning models and simulation needling trainers. Topics include: introduction to ultrasound, upper extremity brachial plexus blocks (interscalene, supraclavicular, infraclavicular, and axillary) as well as lower extremity blocks (femoral, saphenous at the adductor canal, sciatic at the popliteal fossa, and ankle)..
